Czech students left Havlickuv Brod about half past six in the morning. First they went to Praque by bus and then they took a flight to Finland. For Lucie it was the first time in a plane. From the sky it looked like there was nothing but forests and water in Finland. The change students arrived Helsinki about four o'clock in the afternoon and they were in Savonlinna at nine o'clock. At home we had some snack and tried to get to know each other a bit better. All of us were tired so we went to sleep quite early.

In the morning Liisi came to our home with her change student Katka. We played a game called pexeso.
In the afternoon Anni's grandparents came to have lunch with us. They couldn't speak english at all but Lucie said couple on finnis words for them..they were quite impressed. :) After the meal Anni wrote her english essey and after that we went to a walk with Anni's mother.
In the evening there was some kind of party in Mari's place. Some of the change students and the hosts were there and I think everyone had great time.

Monday was the first school-day for our Czech students at Savonlinna's Lyseo.
Quite many were at school already at 8 o'clock but at 9:30 the Czech students watched a video about Finland, the principal gave a little speech and Maija told them some information about the whole week.
Then they were at some lessons and had lunch[porridge,raspberry-soup and bread]. While the Finnish students were at lessons, Czechs went to see what the town looks like. It was "very"cold[-3degrees]yesterday but sunny!
In the evening Lucka(Lucinka), Jarda(Jaroslav)and Elina came to my place. It was the first time for Kata(Katerina)to go to sauna. And she really enjoyed it. :) Jarda went to sauna also, but it was his second time already!
After sauna we ate "munkkeja" and juice from Moomin mugs :P
Nice,but tiring day!

Our school started at 9.30 o’clock. Hanna-Reetta’s first (and the only) lesson was religion but Marta spent her time in English glassroom. In H-R's classroom there was one Czech student Tomas and our religion teacher spoke only English during this lesson. After our lessons we went to recycling shop and there were Henna and Tereza waiting for us. Marta and Tereza tried to find Kalevala but they didn’t manage it. :(
After that Czechs visited the Town Hall. They learnt something about Savonlinna – its culture life, economy and also history. After that we went to second-hand shops with friends of us. Finally we found one beautiful “Russian” dress – but unfortunately later we learnt one very important Finish word “ruskea” so we got very sad that we didn’t bought any Russian…only “brown” Finnish dress…But very nice!
After that we went home by bus. And at home we just ate.
And about the weather – it was about one degrees below zero and quite windy. And we really enjoyed the frostbitten road to school!

In the morning we had a morning opening in the auditorium. After that we took some pictures with Czech students and Finnish students together. Then our charming teacher Jaro Koikkalainen told us about Finland history with his fluent English. He knew about Skoda cars, the good soldier Svejk and Czech ice-hockey.
Then Tereza and Marketa visited Erkki Paukku's hitory lesson with me and Mari. They found him a little bit scary and noticed that he looks like their physics teacher from GHB (Gymnazium Havlickuv Brod).
At 12.30 Czech students visited Olavinlinna castle. They were surprised that there was a central heating here, because they haven't got that in their castles.
After school we (Mari, Maija, Hanna-Reetta, Marketa, Marta and Marta) went into a Chinese restaurant. Marta said to us about the difference that Czech people can buy for 2 euros the similar food what here costs 10 euros.
Then we went to Mari's flat and we watched a film. During the film, we played a game where nobody could speak their native language. If someone spoke Czech or Finnish words, they would get a punishment like dancing or singing in front of the others.
When we went home, both of us were tired and went to sleep.

I went to school already at eight and Jarda came later at 9.30. I didn't see him because of my lessons and Jarda was exploring the school by himself. ;) At 12.30 the Czech went to the city hall, which they found interesting. Mean while I was still studying. We met at home finally before for. I left again for my balett lesson and Jarda and my mom were preparing a meal for us. We ate together and then I had to go back to school again for the parents' evening. I decided to make up for my busy day so I took Jarda to listen to a jazz band at Oopperakellari. We came home around 23. We ate some ice-cream and went to sleep right away. :)

The bus to Helsinki left at 7.00 am. so we had to wake up realy early. We were going to the annual skiexpo event. The bus trip to Messukeskus went fine and quickly because both of us slept almost the whole trip. The event went quickly as well. I bought so things and kristyna came back empty handed.
